Stockade
Fences
Fine wooden fences are a New England tradition...
Although used as a generic term for privacy fencing "Stockade" in its
traditional form is a pointed -picket style fence combined with a variety
of post styles to give you a cost effective way to fence in your yard. We
only use a full cedar panel (7/8" thick pickets and 2"x3" or 2"x4"backing
rails) to provide you with a high quality and long lasting option.
Arrow Fence Company utilizes Northern White Cedar products from the
Northern-most regions of Maine. Buying directly from the cedar mills
allows us to select the highest quality cedar components to ensure the
best quality products available.
We also use select grades of western red cedar from Oregon, British
Columbia and Canada for our square spoke spindles, lattice top fences and
colonial post caps.
Available in a variety of heights and styles, cedar fences are great for
providing privacy, containment, or defining a property boundary.
Our extensive woodworking shop allows us a great deal of flexibility in
fence design and variation, and our skilled craftsmen have the knowledge
to assure the highest quality construction available.
Please take note that all cedar wood is subject to the natural process of
“checking”.
Checking happens as wood releases moisture, and normally occurs across or
through the annual growth rings. It is the usual result of wood seasoning.
Checking occurs only on the surface of the wood, and does not affect the
structural performance or the integrity of the wood.
